We partner with a multitude of local, national and international organizations but are not managed by any government agency or religious group. Our independence affords us flexibility and credibility wherever and with whomever we work.
Entelechy Inc. has designed program packages whereby leading personages will patronize our campaign meetings in order to help break down the taboos that are associated with open discussions about sexual affairs; ethnic differences; and violence associated with religion. The visibility of these eminent figures will be structured in a way as to depart from the normal procedure. It is the practice of such eminent leaders to address meetings/workshops and then leave. Under such an approach, their participation remains ritualistic and is thus never employed to capture the imagination of the youth. Our approach will be to make the youth interact with such figures closely and as much as possible. They will be useful in drumming up morale for the youth to come up and speak out on HIV/AIDS and youth violence. In this, we shall be trying to tap into the African youth’s appetite for approval by, and association with, successful persons. As such, grasping the discourse of HIV/AIDS and being able to articulate it will become “the thing” that any self-esteemed youth will feel obligated to attain. In this way, a regime of open HIV/AIDS- discourse will proliferate and hopefully become a household topic. This, in the main, is our line of reasoning. |
